Senior Officials and Related Meetings Begin in Viet Nam

The second round of Senior Officials and Related Meetings for 2006 began today in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.

The round of meetings that cover numerous areas of APEC activities began with meetings of APEC's Human Resource Development Working Group, Independent Experts' Group on Business Mobility, Life Sciences Innovation Forum, Investment Experts' Group and Non-Ferrous Metals Dialogue

Opening comments by the Executive Director from the APEC Secretariat, Ambassador Tran Trong Toan, at the meeting of the Human Resource Development Working Group are available.

The series of meetings will conclude with the APEC Senior Officials' Meeting on May 29-30.

Immediately following the Senior Officials Meeting will be the Annual Meeting of APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade, also in Ho Chi Minh City, on June 1-2.
