These two books are products of the 'Ocean Models and Information Systems for the APEC Region' (OMISAR) project. The ultimate objective of the project is to 'coordinate the APEC scientific communities on developing regional and subregional ocean models for assessing the potential impact on marine resources by economic development in the Asia-Pacific region'.
