Description
Earlier work done by APEC has shown the dynamism in adopting and strengthening the application of Good Regulatory Practices (GRPs) across APEC economies. Each of the 21 economies has made visible progress in recent years in applying GRPs in domestic regulatory activities.
This 2013 survey of the use of selected GRPs and comparison with APEC’s 2011 GRP Baseline Report confirm that APEC economies continue to invest substantial political and financial resources in improving the quality of their domestic regulatory regimes. The rate of change in the use of GRPs has not slowed from 2011 to 2013; rather, it is accelerating, and there is more attention currently to improving the application of GRPs to get meaningful results on the ground.
