Description
The virtual seminar series E-commerce Opportunities for Indigenous and Ethnic Communities: Bringing Innovation, Expanding Markets and Unleashing Potential aimed to enhance capability, participation, and success of those communities. It traversed how indigenous and ethnic communities and their agribusinesses can make the best use of technology and e-commerce to thrive and prosper and contribute to their broader and intergenerational aspirations. Indigenous and ethnic minorities responses to the multi-layered challenges of Covid-19 and sustainability are addressed throughout the series.
This report provides an overview and key policy recommendations of the virtual seminar series during APEC 2021 New Zealand. The project contributes to the wider New Zealand objective of embedding Indigenous Peoples economic empowerment and inclusion within the work program of APEC. The report is supported by the digital toolbox that aims to make the material widely accessible beyond the one-off event.
