This project aims to promote best practices for monitoring and managing coastal oxygen loss to support fisheries and aquaculture. A workshop was held in Paracas, Peru from 30 September 30 to 3 October 2024, where participants identified challenges and opportunities for standardizing oxygen data collection and analysis across APEC economies. It included keynote lectures, case study discussions, practical demonstrations, and roadmap development. The workshop emphasized the need for improved monitoring, multidisciplinary research, and early warning systems. This report includes a proposed roadmap outlining short- and long-term goals, including partnerships, data integration, and stakeholder engagement. The initiative aims to enhance adaptive management strategies and mitigate the impacts of deoxygenation on marine resources.
