This policy brief contributes to the APEC Strategy for Green, Sustainable and Innovative MSMEs which was adopted by APEC SME Ministers in 2017. Specifically, it examines what defines a green, sustainable and innovative MSME by looking at the existing green growth indicators developed by other organisations. It also provides some suggestions on what would define one in the case of APEC and the way forward on this issue.
