The 61th Meeting of the APEC Expert Group on Energy Efficiency & Conservation (EGEEC 61)

The 61th Meeting of the APEC Expert Group on Energy Efficiency & Conservation (EGEEC 61) and associated workshops will be hosted in The Philippines on 16-19 October 2023. This will be a joint meeting with APEC Expert Group on New and Renewable Energy Technologies (EGNRET). The theme of the meeting is "Reinforcing Relevant Laws for a Comprehensive Approach to Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Renewable Energy, Electric Vehicle, and Sustainability in the APEC Region". The meeting will bring together APEC member economies and international organisations to exchange policies, rules, planning, and investments to boost energy efficiency, renewable energy, electric vehicle and sustainability and actions towards the APEC aspirational target of reducing aggregate energy intensity by 45 percent from 2005 levels by 2035.
