The Policy Support Unit produces reports, policy briefs and issues papers in its role as the research and analysis arm of APEC. Our agenda comprises three core areas that mirror the three economic drivers in the APEC Putrajaya Vision 2040: Trade and investment; innovation and digitalization; and strong, balanced, secure, sustainable and inclusive growth.

The Policy Support Unit publishes periodical reports on economic, trade and investment trends and annually releases, APEC in Charts, a publication that provides a convenient reference for the region’s macroeconomic performance and its progress towards key indicators. It also produces summaries of its research projects per calendar year.
