This report presents the main ideas and recommendations from the project “Workshop on Competition Policy and Sustainable Development” held in Bangkok on 9 November 2022.
In addition to the overview of the interface between competition policy application and sustainable development goals, the report summarizes discussions on the following topics 1) Are Competitive Markets More Sustainable Markets; 2) Competition Advocacy towards Sustainable Development; and 3) Sustainability business agreements. The report also highlights key recommendations for competition authorities and APEC to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development objectives in view of the Bangkok Goals on Bio-Circular-Green Economy (BCG).
