The Study on strategies to promote sustainable and safe mobility in APEC economies is aimed at providing tools to strengthen the capacities of stakeholders involved in the transport sector within APEC economies to improve policies aimed at reducing GHG emissions through the adoption of EV in urban transport. The Study summarizes successful examples from economies that develop public policies promoting sustainable and safe transport, specifically the reduction of transport-related GHG emissions, additionally, important aspects of the discussion at the workshop held on 16 August 2024 in the city of Lima are included. The Study will be a valuable reference for best practices in implementing electromobility as a public transport solution, offering insights gained from the experiences of other economies.
