This report contains proceedings of the 2nd APEC Seminar on Best Practices and Applications of Digitalization and Innovation in Food Supply Chain, which was held on 21-24 October 2024 in Beijing, China. It aims to share best practices of digitalization and innovation in APEC food supply chains. Based on this theme, the report outlines discussions by expert speakers and participants in the following areas: (1) Digital and innovative technologies on food production, processing and distribution, (2) Public policies including relative standards, and (3) Private application patterns integrating various quality-protection and loss-reduction technologies. Through discussions, consensus emerged on digital transformation for food security, despite challenges. Combined with survey insights, recommendations are made to boost digital innovation, vitals for APEC economies' grain sectors, implementation of 2030 Food Security Roadmap, and supply chain security.
