This summary report provides a comprehensive overview of the APEC project APEC Sustainable social Entrepreneurship Training (ASSET): Establishing a Social Enterprise Startup Plan to Address Challenges in APEC regions.
Held in Jeju, Korea, in May 2025, the onsite training workshop brought together 25 youth representatives from 8 APEC member economies. Spanning five days, the program was held in conjunction with the APEC Education Ministerial Meeting (AEMM) and the APEC Future Education Forum (AFEF), offering participants exposure to high-level policy discussions on future-oriented education. The workshop featured a keynote by a social entrepreneur, expert session with hands-on workshops, and collaborative team exercises. Through these diverse activities, the program fostered sustainable growth and an inclusive mindset among Asia-Pacific youth. It also served as a platform for participants to strengthen leadership skills and expand their global networks through active engagement.
