This is the Summary Report for the APEC Workshop on Promoting “One Village One Product” (OVOP), jointly held by APEC and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) Viet Nam in the hybrid format on 6-7 April 2023 in Ha Noi, Viet Nam.
The workshop aimed to share experiences and improve capacity building for APEC member economies on how to promote the “One Village, One Product” approach in rural and remote areas for inclusive growth through harnessing e-commerce in the Digital era.
Throughout the workshop, speakers, experts and participants have proposed recommendations such as developing an APEC digital platform for OVOP, more concrete for OVOP business in terms of regulations, logistics, improving quality of OVP products, practical training on e-commerce, marketing, brand development, innovation, market access, etc., for business, especially MSMEs adopting OVOP programs, comprehensive training designed from specific stakeholders, and so on.
